the multipage book was an introduction to typography for students. it introduced the concepts of flow, systems, and the importance of legibility. students focused on working with an article and experimenting with text size, leADING, and kerning. students also had to work with a table of contents and pull-out quotes, as well as a legible timeline that corresponded with the article.
I chose a system that used dots and lines. pages with quotes, as well as the last page, have a system pulled from the title page. some pages of text use a system that comes from the cover. I additionally used the dots to separate the quotes from the speaker, my table of contents, separation between headlines and sub-headlines, and around the page numbers. I went with a standard paragraph style, with the first paragraph after the headline not indented and each subsequent paragraph indented.
