TYPOGRAPHER BOOK
This project asked students to research a typographer and a font they created, then to create a book or accordion displaying their research and other applications using the font. A large learning outcome of this assignment was to teach students about flow and use of systems.
Bodoni is a modern font used greatly in the fashion industry, both in branding logos and magazine spreads. I decided to use this information to inspire a magazine-like book. Because Bodoni is a display font, I could only use it in larger applications, while I had to find a complimentary font to use in the body text, choosing Adobe Caslon Pro.
Process
For each section of the book, we sketched 3-5 versions of a layout before putting them into InDesign
